Yesterday the Room 2 Tuis explored the use of colour and pattern. We looked at Elmer the elephant from the popular children's book. We had to colour Elmer's patchwork with no squares of the same colour touching. Some children thought it would good to use a speech bubble to the word Elmer - like she was saying her own name. But unfortunately, the speech bubble is not from the mouth!!! (oops)
